Built in Italy in 1997 and 1999 these tugs were specially designed to assist during berthing/unberthing operations in port. With two SCHOTTEL azimuth thrusters, highly maneuverable, this tugboat design has her drum towing winch located on the main deck aft, and allowing to switch from towing to pushing within seconds. A towing hook is fitted on the main deck aft, giving an even higher operational flexibility. Included fire-fighting 1 (2 x 1200 cbm/hr) capability. Main engines are 2 x Deutz 1260kw @1000rpm with 2 x Schottel SRP, Generators are 2 x Deutz 100 KVA plus a harbour genset. Operating speed is 12 knots. Bollard pull is certified above 44 tons.
